If you are interested in aethnsesia and you have an RN/BSN you might want to look into becoming a CRNA. Nurse anesthesists or CRNAs are RNs who obtain advanced degrees a master’s of science in nurse aethnsesia. I know that some colleges require a year of critical care experience usually in an ICU setting before entering their programs. I do not know the differences in the scope of practice between the MD anesthesiologist and CRNA, but I do know that CRNAs receive competitve salaries around $120,000-$150,000 depending on location, experience etc.
