About the Scholarship

Thank you to all who applied for our scholarship! There was a flurry of entries right at the end of the deadline. We are currently in the process of reading through the essays and will select the winning entrant within the week.
The 2015 Healthcare Worker Scholarship is an annual $500 scholarship awarded to a student pursuing a career in the healthcare field who submits the best 200 word essay on the topic of how choosing a career in healthcare can make a positive difference in their community. Applicants must be college students pursuing a healthcare related undergraduate degree or graduate degree. High school students are also eligible if they plan to study a healthcare related major and will be at least 18 years of age by the date of scholarship imbursment. The application deadline is December 31, 2014.
This scholarship is sponsored by healthcareworkersalary.com, a leading healthcare salary information website in the United States. Healthcare Worker Salary provides a comprehensive resource of useful information for aspiring healthcare workers, including salaries for different professions, schools and programs available and recommended resources.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be:
- At least 18 years of age.
- A college student pursuing a healthcare related undergraduate degree or certificate at an accredited college or university.
- High school student planning to pursue a healthcare related major.

Scholarship Selection Process:
The scholarship will be awarded to the applicant with the best essay submission based on creativity, grammar and spelling as judged by the scholarship committee.
The winning applicant will be notified by email or phone by January 15, 2015. The $500 scholarship will be sent to the recipient once a profile photo and brief bio has been provided. The winning applicant is responsible for complying with any IRS regulations for receiving scholarships which can be viewed at the IRS website. The photograph and be published on this page after January 15, 2015.
